Posting again! Finally!

I have not been at top form lately! It has been about 6 1/2 weeks since I started having issues! But I am finally getting my energy back! I have been back at work for three weeks but very tired when I got home. I am so happy to be feeling more like my self! I have not been able to post as I usually do. There is a lot I want to catch up on but today there are two items that are the most important. One is that the Food Hub has gotten more settled in procedure since the Covid started! They now are on line and ordering can be done by text or ordering on Dove’s web site. I am going to try to post a couple times a week so you get used to the drill. She needs all orders by Sunday evening instead of Monday. She will change the website each Monday afternoon to the food that will be available the following week. She will drop off orders at out clinic to avoid contact with folks. Fresh food has not been an issues as far as spreading the virus. There are no known cases of spread by fresh food.

To get to Dove’s website you can go through Agroshare, Facebook, or directly to her site which has a link here on Agroshare. If you save the link to your browser you can go straight to her website to order each Sunday. Food will arrive by 2pm each Tuesday as usual. Her website is a .net site not a .com site. If you put Whirlwind Farm in her site will come up. For convenience I will put a link on this page.

Cell phone to text: 256-486-4582     She does not have good cell service at home so texting is best.

The Second important information today, that I am so excited about, is we have a new community garden in Collinsville! I am going to do my best to do a big feature on Agroshare this weekend on this little garden near our park. Sherry Parker is starting this garden so she will be working on how to have people come help with the garden and obtain food! She has a goal to have kids come and learn so I hope to be helping as well with this by teaching kids about worms, compost, biochar, organic gardening and lots of other topics. If anyone is interested please let Sherry know. She lives on Grand Avenue near the park. We will be writing a lot more on this topic in the coming weeks.

Lastly, thanks so much to everyone in our community and all around for sending so many good thoughts and prayers while I was sick! I continue to get folks saying how much they were thinking about me and you can’t know how much that meant to me.

Have a great day and week!

Having solar is not always easy!!

Seasonal Affective Disorder: A Personal Story

Chickweed Pesto
