It is time to announce our classes in January! Now I am committed! Not just talking about it!
We call it the Keto class but it is not just about food. Our classes will be 16 weeks this time. They have been 12 weeks the last three sessions. Calling a lifestyle class sounds a bit boring! We hope to record all classes and put them on line.

I have to practice doing videos that are good quality between now and then. We will have them at the Library on Monday nights at 6pm. They will last about an hour but I will stay after to answer questions or have discussions with individuals as needed.

Unfortunately they can’t be totally free because I have to pay for the space and someone to help me each night. But the charge will be minimal for Wills Valley Medicine patients and free for Valley Care DPC patients. The public will have a fee to pay. We will be posting the flyer in the next few weeks at the clinic and on our web pages.

Some of the topics we talk about are healthy fats, how much protein, cancer prevention, reversing dementia, supplements, how much we need to move, walking barefoot, reducing stress in a very busy world and many more. New to our class will be information on our circadian rhythm and getting into more depth on sleep.

Each week we will have some foods to try so you will know how to find foods that fit into a healthier lifestyle.

We will work with many families who have parents or other relatives in the nursing home who have dementia. We will work on preventing dementia in those family members. We will work with reversing symptoms of dementia in nursing home patients.

We have had and will be working with people who have cancer to help with chemotherapy. We will be working to help people prevent cancer. We will give resources for people to learn on their own as well in this area. There are many studies going on around the country in the area of keto and cancer prevention as well as improving side effects of cancer therapy. Cancer is a very scary topic for many people.

Stress is a topic many people live with and can be very difficult to deal with. We will be talking in greater detail about stress and how the mind helps us overcome many diseases.

Sleep is another area people struggle so much. Sleep issues cause many health issues. It can increase your risk for diabetes and many other health issues. Supplements are also discussed in detail in our classes as there can be a lot of confusion about supplements.

So just keep watching for our flyers and be sure to call the clinic to sign up for a spot!
