Summer Gilreath is the clinic Lab Manager, and has been with Wills Valley Family Medicine since 2011. Summer grew up in the Sand Mountain area of Northeast Alabama. She first came to the clinic as a student and did her internship with Dr. Koe.
Summer completed her degree as an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting from Northeast Alabama Community College. Dr. Koe hired her after seeing her incredible work ethic during her internship, and Summer has continued to be one of Dr. Koe’s hardest working employees.
Summer is in charge of all aspects of the back-office procedures, including triage, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs and minor office surgeries. She is also available for your phone calls and questions and is more than happy to help in any way she can. Summer is not only dedicated to responding to the varied needs of all the clinic’s patients, she is also actively involved in the Agroshare team, monitoring the site’s posts, updating Dr. Koe and Agroshare’s social media platforms, and interacting with patients and commenters!
